Orange Bloom

Orange Bloom

This shot was taken in the summertime in Vermont.  I don’t think I had ever seen a flower quite like this, and I still don’t know exactly what it was.  At the time, I was struck by how delicate the petals appear – almost like crepe paper, yet they had just withstood a windy downpour.  I am often impressed by the strength and determination of what looks to the eye to be fragile and frail.
