Another shot from the tulip outing the other day, this yellow beauty was another of my favorites. It was in a very large grouping of all yellow tulips. About the only thing I love more than a tulip is a large group of tulips all of the same color and reaching for the sky in unison. Shot late in the afternoon, the yellow of these tulips was very striking as it brought some cheer to a somewhat dreary Spring day.
Several days ago, I went out in search of some nice shots of my favorite Spring flower – the tulip. The colors of this one were so soft and beautiful. Funny, I had taken a million (well, almost) shots, and this particular flower caught my eye after I had finished up and was on my way back to the car. Without as much “technical thought” I just bent down and snapped the picture remembering the words of a photography mentor who said, “sometimes I’ll take a few hundred pictures to get just one or two shots that I like.” In this case, I’m glad I kept shooting.
